The event, which started in 2011, has over the years become an important September calendar date for Merano. The weekend combines local traditions, the chance to taste the special Forst beers and great fun with live music.

The beer festival also aims to bring together the locals and the many visitors in a party atmosphere. Platters of speck and mouth-watering dishes of shin, spare ribs and many other specialities are served at the tables by young waiters in typical South Tyrolean costume.
